FAQ

Is all the artwork on your website original?

Yes! And, each is a unique, one-of-a-kind item, even when noted as part of an edition. All pieces are signed and dated and are accompanied by a signed certificate of authenticity.

Are your pieces ready to hang?

Yes, all of my original paintings are shipped ready to hang on your wall. The pieces that use thick glass and/or steel bracket are heavy for their size, so make sure to use a sufficient wall anchor, or install directly to a wall stud.

Prints are shipped flat and unframed in a box mailer. They're standard US sizes so framing is easy! Unless you're outside the US. Sorry about that.

Can I see a piece in person before buying it?

My home studio is humble but if you're in the area I'd be more than happy to arrange a meeting and show you my work in person. I'm only a 10-15 minute drive from O'Hare on the Northwest side of Chicago. Or, if you live nearby, I can bring whatever pieces you're interested in to you and see how they look in your space! If you're curious but unable to visit, I'd be more than happy to get on a video call with you and show you details. Contact me to set something up.

What is your shipping and returns policy?

See this page for more detail.

Are there any special care instructions for your artworks?

My paintings on glass require very little maintenance to keep looking like new. In most cases, dry dusting will be sufficient. Where vinyl or paint is applied to the front surface, only use a damp, lint-free cloth to gently clean. Use clean water only, not cleaning products, or the finish may be damaged. I'm happy to answer questions about care for any specific piece, just reach out.

What is low-iron glass?

Low-iron glass is made specially to reduce the green tint that all glass naturally has. In the context of my work, it allows the colors of the paint to show through as truly and vividly as possible. Where noted, the low-iron glass I've used is ¼" (6mm) thick, custom fabricated by a supplier local to me.

What's up with the steel bracket?

I'm glad you asked! My frameless paintings on glass are mounted to a steel bracket of my design that I had fabricated and powder-coated by local suppliers. The glass is affixed to the steel with the same architectural tape used to install windows in skyscrapers (fun fact: there’s enough tape on a 12” piece to support 1,800 pounds of glass).

There’s a keyhole slot on the wall-facing flange so all you need to hang the piece is a wall anchor or a screw into a wall stud. Foam pads protect your wall from damage and prevent vibration noise.
